Out of the Box Escape Co.

Out of the Box Escape Co. is a new escape room business in the Old Firehouse Plaza on Goodwin Street, right next door to its sister store, John’s Box of Bricks, and a short walk from the Courthouse Plaza. Its rooms are built around Prescott’s own history. The Lost Mine Mystery (opened October 2026, for 2 to 4 players) starts inside a vanished prospector’s cabin and sends your team hunting for his hidden gold mine. The Great Fire Escape (4 to 6 players, beta testing in November 2026) drops you into the Great Fire of 1900.

Each game lasts up to 60 minutes; plan on about 90 minutes for the whole visit, and book online ahead of time. Rooms are private to your group and built for suspense and teamwork rather than scares. Kids under 12 play with a paying adult, and teens 12 to 17 can play on their own with a waiver signed by a parent. Standard admission was $45 per person in fall 2026, with $39 weekday (Monday to Thursday) and family rates for qualifying groups of four or more; check the website for current prices. They also host birthday parties and team-building events.
