Things to do in Prescott every weekend
Whatever is on the calendar, a few Prescott weekend traditions are almost always there:
- Saturday morning: the Prescott Farmers Market at 900 Iron Springs Road, 7:30 a.m. to noon from April through October and 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from November through March. See the farmers market listing.
- Friday and Saturday nights: live music on Whiskey Row. Matt’s Saloon has bands on weekend nights, and the Jersey Lilly upstairs hosts live music most nights. Start with our Whiskey Row guide.
- The 4th Friday Art Walk, held monthly, when downtown galleries stay open late. See arts and culture in Prescott.
- A ghost tour after dark. Guided haunted walks leave from the Courthouse Plaza on select evenings year-round. Our haunted Prescott guide covers the tours and the stories.
- A morning on the trails or the lakes. Watson Lake, the Peavine Trail, and Thumb Butte are all about 15 minutes from the plaza. Use the Trail Finder or our lakes guide.
- Breakfast downtown. Our picks are in the best breakfast in Prescott.
Seasonal weekends worth planning
October brings ghost tours, pumpkin patches, and costume nights (see Halloween in Prescott) along with fall color, tracked in our Fall Color Report. December is Christmas City season, with parades, the Courthouse Lighting, and Acker Night. Early July means the World’s Oldest Rodeo.
